Have you seen these wood rose curls at the dollar store? They’re in the floral aisle with the wreath forms, jute rope, rocks, styrofoam, etc.
I’ve never really had much of a use for them – aside from one tin tile pumpkin craft that I embellished with them – until now.

Dollar Store Wood Rose Curl Christmas Ornaments

Turn Dollar Tree wood roses into adorable little mini trees to decorate for Christmas.
Materials
- 3 wood rose curls, from Dollar Tree
- dark gel wood stain
- twine
- small sprig of faux boxwood
- scrap of cardstock
- gold paint or rub-n-buff
Tools
- small paint brush
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- heavy duty craft scissors or miter shears
- craft scissors
Instructions
- Watch the video tutorial before you begin, and let that be your visual guide for this project.
- Use a small paint brush and gel stain to carefully stain the edges of each wood rose curl. Let dry.
- Stack three wood rose curls, and secure together with hot glue.
- Cut a 2-inch length of dowel. Hot glue this cut dowel into the bottom rose curl in the stack.
- Cut a small star shape of of the cardstock. Paint it gold. Set aside to dry.
- Cut a length of twine, and tie into a loop - securing a small piece of faux boxwood in the knot as well. Hot glue the boxwood piece to the top of the tree ornament.
- Hot glue the cardstock star on top as well.
