Whether you plan to use it as a statement piece on your coffee table or add a touch of flair to your kitchen decor, this DIY project will inspire you to see the potential in everyday items and transform them into stunning accents.
Let’s talk about pizza pan crafts
Take a look in the kitchen section of your Dollar Tree store, and you’re bound to find a variety of cooking and baking supplies and tools. But pizza pans are hands-down, one on my favorite dollar store kitchen items.

Pizza pans can be used to make so many crafts. In the past, I’ve made a pizza pan door hanger and a winter village door hanger with them.
Today, I’m trying something new, and making a decorative tray accented with peel-and-stick wallpaper and jute rope.

Pizza Pan Decorative Tray
Transform a few simple dollar store supplies into a creative pizza pan decorative tray with wood and rope accents.
Materials
- pizza pan, from the dollar store
- jute rope, also available at dollar stores or craft stores. I used 1.5 packs of the Dollar Tree rope
- wood pattern peel-and-stick wallpaper, mine came from Dollar Tree, but you can also check home improvement stores or online, or you could even use contact paper
- white floral wire
Tools
- Heavy-duty craft scissors
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Smoothing tool
Instructions
- Watch the video tutorial before you begin, and let that be your visual guide for this project.
- Lay the sheet of peel-and-stick wallpaper (with the paper backing still on) over the pizza pan. Use your fingers to press the paper down over the outer ridge of the pizza pan, leaving a light crease. Follow this crease with scissors, and cut the wallpaper piece into a circle.
.
- Peel off the paper backing, and lay the circle in the center of the pizza pan and smooth with a smoothing tool.
- Use hot glue to add jute rope around the edge of the pizza pan. Continue to coil and glue the rope around the pizza pan, covering the wallpaper edge and any of the metal on the pan edge.
- Cut a 6-inch length of rope. Wrap each end 20-30 times with floral wire. Then glue the ends to the edge of the tray, forming a handle. Repeat this process to form a second handle on the opposite edge of the tray.

Place it on a coffee table, kitchen counter, or dining table to add a touch of rustic charm to your space. You can use it to hold candles, small potted plants, or other decorative items.
