It’s no secret that I’m a pretty big fan of the Dollar Tree pizza pan, and NOT for using in the kitchen. I’m not sure what that says about my cooking and baking skills – when I stroll down the kitchen aisle at Dollar Tree, I start thinking about craft projects I can make!

Why I Love This Pizza Pan Craft:
Aside from the cut little house wall decals that I scored at Dollar Tree to make this winter village, I have a general love for general winter-themed crafts. You can put them up with your Christmas decorations, but you get to keep them up long after Christmas is over.
I mean, if you’re going to go through the effort of making a seasonal or holiday craft, don’t you want to enjoy it for as long as possible?

Tutorial: How to Make a Winter Pizza Pan Door Hanger
Follow this quick video, or read the step-by-step directions below:
- Paint the back of the pizza pan and the house decals with white chalk paint. Set aside to dry.
- Use navy chalk paint to paint a swerve shape across the middle of the pizza pan. Paint everything below that line with navy paint.
- Use tan and brown acrylic craft paint on a very dry brush to create a wood finish effect on the house decals. Apply a small amount of paint to the brush (dry brush technique) and paint back and forth vertically to mimic wood grain.
- When all the paint has dried, hot glue the house decals to the white painted part of the pizza pan.
- Print out your template on plain white printer paper. Lay a piece of transfer paper, dark side down, uner the printed template. Secure with a small pieces of masking tape. Using a transfer tool or pen, trace over the template.
- Use a fine point brush to fill in the carbon outline with white paint.
- Use hot glue to secure jute rope around the rim of the pizza pan. Be sure to keep the rope ends at the top of the pizza pan.
- Make a bow my layering 5 cuts of ribbon. Secure in the center with a thin piece of ribbon and a double knot.
- Hot glue a loop of rope to the top of the pizza pan. Add a bow at the base of the loop.
