Well, today’s craft turns not one—but two humble pizza pans into a chic, green and gold decorative tray that looks straight out of a boutique. It’s got glam, it’s got wood beads, and it uses my two favorite paints: hunt club green spray paint and antique gold rub-n-buff!

DIY Pizza Pan Wood Bead Tray
Turn Dollar Tree pizza pans and wood beads into a stunning DIY decorative tray! Follow this step-by-step tutorial for a chic green and gold look.
Materials
- 2 Dollar Tree pizza pans
- 2 strands of wooden beads (on string or twine)
- 4 wood beads or round wood balls (for the tray “feet”)
- Rub ‘n Buff in Antique Gold
- Spray paint in Hunt Club Green (or your fave deep green!)
- Hot glue sticks
- E6000 glue (or similar strong adhesive)
Tools
- Hot glue gun
- Wood skewer or toothpick (to hold beads while painting)
- Makeup brush (Dollar Tree brushes work great!)
- Parchment paper (for easy spray painting cleanup)
Instructions
- Watch the video. Follow along with the video for a walkthrough on how to make your own decorative tray.
- Spray Paint Your Pieces. Give everything a coat of green spray paint. For the pizza pans: Paint around the edges of the back side and then flip to do a light base coat on the front. Don’t worry about full coverage here. For the wood beads: Lay them on parchment paper, spray one side, roll them, spray again — repeat until most sides are covered.

- Prep the Feet. Stick four wood beads onto a wooden skewer with a tiny dab of hot glue (just enough to hold them while you paint). Use your makeup brush and some Antique Gold Rub ‘n Buff to coat each bead using a circular motion. Once dry, pop them off the skewer and set aside.

- Attach the Feet. Use E6000 glue for a strong hold + hot glue for instant hold. Place them side by side, not mixed together. Attach each gold bead evenly spaced on the bottom of one pizza pan.

- Add the Beaded Trim. Keep your green beads on the string — it’s easier to manage! Start gluing them around the outer rim of one pizza pan. Tip: Glue every bead, not just a few. Otherwise, they’ll spin later when painting!

- Assemble the Tray. Add E6000 + hot glue (side by side again) to the pizza pan center and the beads. Press the second pizza pan (the one with feet) onto the beaded pan.

- Add the Gold Glam. Use your Antique Gold Rub ‘n Buff and makeup brush to give the tray that metallic wood-grain look. Center: Brush back-and-forth in the same direction for a wood-like texture. Edges: Brush in a large circular motion around the pizza pan edge. Wood beads: Use small circular strokes to coat them.

Notes
I love the luxe combo of deep green and antique gold — but you can totally switch up the colors for different seasons or vibes.
