I’ve made a lot of snowman crafts, but I don’t think I’ve ever made a fun snowman wreath. Most of my holiday wreaths consist of pom poms for a puffy winter look, bottle brushes to create a winter wonderland, or greenery to make it easily versatile.
Each DIY snowman wreath tutorial will walk you through making an adorable wreath you’re sure to love!
Video Tutorial: How to Make Snowman Wreaths
Watch this video for a quick step-by-step of all three wreaths:
SUPPLIES:
- 2 Grapevine Wreath Forms (one 14″ and one 18″)
- Floral Wire
- Fairy Lights (I used two packs)
- Black Felt
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Red and white check ribbon
- 1 pipe cleaner
- Twine
- 2 Jumbo gold jingle bells
- Faux greenery and berries
HOW TO MAKE A RUSTIC SNOWMAN WREATH
- Lay the two wreaths side by side on a level table.
- Attach the two wreaths with floral wire in two separate sections, tying them both in the back.
- Position the battery pack of the fairy lights at the top of the wreath and begin winding the lights around the wreath forms.
- Use floral wire (or hot glue) to secure the two battery packs together.
- Take a piece of black felt and cut it in half. Then fold one of the halves to make the brim of the hat. Fold it around the battery pack and secure it with hot glue.
- Add a tiny bow with a red and white check ribbon. Secure it with hot glue to the hat.
- Wrap the snowman neck with the red and white ribbon.
- Attach to jumbo jingle bells with a piece of twine (one jingle bell on each end). Hang this around the neck.
- Make a large bow to attach, tying off the center with a piece of pipe cleaner. Cover the center part with another piece of ribbon to hide the pipe cleaner.
- Add some faux red berries and greenery to the bottom of the snowman. You can stick them in place or attach them with hot glue.

2. Snowman Wreath #2: Wood Beads
This wood bead snowman wreath is a fun craft to do and a great way to put your wood bead stash to great use. This adorable wreath would match any decor style.
SUPPLIES:
- 2 Wreath Rings (from a 3-pack)
- Wood Beads
- Twine
- Acrylic Paint (white) and water
- Plastic ziplock bag
- Wire cutters
- Hot Glue
- Ribbon
- Optional Embellishments: ribbon, mini bells, faux greenery, etc.
HOW TO MAKE A WOOD BEAD SNOWMAN WREATH
- Use the two smallest rings in the pack (7.8″ and 9.8″).
- String wood beads of the same size onto a piece of twine. Be sure to string enough to fit around both wreath wreath
- forms.
- Put the beads into a gallon-size plastic bag. Add a small splash of water and a big splash of white acrylic paint.
- Vigorously shake the bag to “paint” all of the wood beads at the same time.
- Remove the beads and hang them to dry.
- Use wire cutters to cut the rings at their seams. Now you can string the beads onto each wreath form.
- Apply a dab of hot glue on the two wood beads that come together at the seams (this re-attaches the wire forms).
- Secure the two circles together with white floral wire or a zip tie.
- Decorate your snowman with some ribbon. I used a piece of scrap cardboard to create a little snowman hat and attached faux greenery to the hat as well. I dressed the neck with mini jingle bells and an additional ribbon. I also attached more faux pine to the bottom.

- Pom Pom Maker (2 pack)* – you can find them at the craft store or on Amazon
- Small Wire Wreath Form (8″)
- Scissors
- Pipe Cleaners
- Embellishments: small orange bead and small black pom poms

- Create the snowman’s face using an orange bead and small black pom poms, attaching them with hot glue.
