Why I love this craft

Dollar Store fuzzy mope covers (also called microfiber dusting cloths or mop covers) are such a fun and unexpected craft supply. In fact: I’ve previously used these to make a fuzzy winter wreath, a fuzzy Valentine heart wreath, and even a fuzzy Easter bunny wreath!

Instructions

  1. Watch the video tutorial before you begin, and let that be your visual guide for this craft.
  2. Unpackage your materials. Remove the bamboo rings from the packaging and take off the tags on the microfiber dusting cloth.
  3. Cut the microfiber cloth into sections. Follow the natural dividing sections on the cloth and cut it into 4 strips.
  4. Hot glue the strips. Hot glue the strips to attach them around the bamboo rings. The larger ring will have a small space that is uncovered, and that's okay. Be sure to cover the entirety of the smaller ring.
  5. Connect the two rings to make a snowman. Overlap the smaller ring on top of the larger ring where the unclothed space is. Use floral wire wrapped a few times to secure them together. stack two hoop together and secure with wire
  6. Embellish the snowman. Using greenery ribbon and buffalo check ribbon, use them to create a classic bow to put at the snowman's neck. I used a paint stir stick to create a snowman hat.

To create the snowman hat: Use miter shears to cut 2 even pieces for the top hat and one slightly longer for the bottom of the hat from the paint stir stick. Use the scrap part of the handle and hot glue it on the back to secure all 3 pieces together. Paint the hat with black paint. I like to use DecoArt chalk paint. Wrap the top hat with some of the greenery ribbon and secure the hat onto the snowman with hot glue.
