1. Fuzzy White Dollar Tree Wreath with Mop Head Covers
You’d never guess by looking at them what creative ways you can use a steam mop cover… like by covering a wreath form with them.
Fuzzy White Dollar Tree Heart Wreath
Grab a Dollar Tree heart-shaped wreath form and some fuzzy white steam mop covers to make this unique Valentine's Day wreath.
Materials
- metal wire heart wreath form (from Dollar Tree)
- 4 white steam mop covers (from Dollar Tree)
- scissors
- hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
- red and white check ribbon (from Dollar Tree)
- burlap ribbon (from Dollar Tree)
Instructions
- Hot glue each steam mop cover onto the wreath form. Place the mop cover face-down onto your work surface. Then place the wreath form face-down on top of the mop cover.
- Add hot glue to the edge of the mop cover, and then fold over the edge of the wire form. Pull taught to cover.
- Repeat with remaining three mop covers. You may need to trim the last mop cover down by a few inches. If so, be sure to brush away all excess threads before hot gluing on.
- FOR THE BOW: Create two figure-8 loops with red ribbon. Then cut two single legnths of burlap ribbon - cut at 45-degree angles on the ends. Stack the burlap ribbon on top of the red ribbon. Pinch in the center, and then tie together with a length of red ribbon. Tie in a simple knot in back. Trim away excess ribbon. Fluff the bow. Secure to the wreath with hot glue.
2. Dollar Store Spring-Inspired Heart Wreath with Pink Flowers
It’s no secret that I love spring-inspired Valentine’s Day decorations. There’s something about using Valentine crafts to help look forward to the end of spring and beautiful spring blooms.
This heart wreath doesn’t even really look like a Valentine’s Day wreath. I think I’m going to keep it up all the way through spring!
Floral Heart Dollar Store Wreath
Use Dollar Tree supplies to make this gorgeous floral heart wreath that you can display from Valentine's Day all the way through spring time.
Materials
- metal wire heart wreath form (from Dollar Tree)
- floral foam
- pen blade
- hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
- twine (from Dollar Tree)
- scissors
- 7 stems of faux flowers (from Dollar Tree)
Instructions
- Begin by adding floral foam to the back of the wire wreath form. Use a pen blade or scissors to carefully score and snap the foam down to size.
- Secure the foam in the middle with a bit of hot glue, and then press into the back of the wreath form. Then tie a piece of twine all the way around the wreath form and piece of foam. Repeat all the way around the wreath.
- Pop the flowers and leaves off their stems.
- Add a bit of hot glue to the back of a flower top. Then press the flower into the foam. Repeat all the way around the wreath.
- Fill in any gaps with leaves by adding 2-3 leaf pairs in each gap, secured with hot glue.
3. Black and White Flannel Heart Rag Wreath
I’m in the middle of a mild black-and-white-check pattern obsession. I can’t help it!
So, I grabbed a bit of this flannel fabric and whipped up this pretty, farmhouse-style rag wreath.
DIY Black and White Heart Rag Wreath
This beautiful farmhouse style-wreath is perfect to decorate for Valentine's Day - or any time of year! Just grab a wire wreath form and a bit of plaid fabric to make a heart rag wreath.
Materials
- metal wire heart wreath form (from Dollar Tree)
- rotary cutter and cutting mat OR fabric scissors
- 1 1/4 yard of black and white flannel plaid fabric
- Optional: faux lamb's ear greenery and burlap ribbon
Instructions
- Cut 75-80 2-inch x 10-inch strips of fabric. If using a rotary cutter, I found it easiest to cut 2-inch strips first. Then cut those strips into 10-inch pieces.
- Tie each fabric strip around the wreath form. To to this, identify the inner, middle, and outer wire on the wreath form. Tie one fabric strip around the inner and middle wire. Secure with a simple square knot.
- Then tie the next fabric strip around the outer and middle wire. Continue to alternate between the inner two wires and the outer two wires. Never tie a fabric strip around all three levels of wire on the wreath form.
- Slide the fabric ties back and forth, until the wreath is evenly filled out and no wire shows through.
