Wood Bead Snowman Wreath
Yield:
1 wreath
This wood bead wreath is a great way to add a sophisticated touch during the winter season.
Materials
- 2 Wreath Rings (from a 3-pack)
- Wood Beads
- Twine
- Acrylic Paint (white) and water
- Plastic ziplock bag
- Wire cutters
- Hot Glue
- Ribbon
- Optional Embellishments: ribbon, mini bells, faux greenery, etc.
Instructions
- Watch the video tutorial before you begin, and let that be your visual guide for this craft.
- Use the two smallest rings in the pack (7.8" and 9.8").
- String wood beads of the same size onto a piece of twine. Be sure to string enough to fit around both wreath ring forms.
- Put the beads into a gallon-size plastic bag. Add a small splash of water and a big splash of white acrylic paint.
- Vigorously shake the bag to "paint" all of the wood beads at the same time.
- Remove the beads and hang them to dry.
- Use wire cutters to cut the rings at their seams. Now you can string the beads onto each wreath form.
- Apply a dab of hot glue on the two wood beads that come together at the seams (this re-attaches the wire forms).
- Secure the two circles together with white floral wire or a zip tie.
- Decorate your snowman with some ribbon. I used a piece of scrap cardboard to create a little snowman hat and attached faux greenery to the hat as well. I dressed the neck with mini jingle bells and an additional ribbon. I also attached more faux pine to the bottom.
