Paper doilies are so much fun to craft with!
Paper doilies are such a fun and versatile craft supply. They can be folded, painted, and turned into all sorts of things… like a wreath. In fact, this isn’t the first time I’ve made a wreath with doilies. Check out this Paper Doily Wreath I made a few years ago. I used a foam wreath form, so the technique was a bit different.
This time, I used an egg-shaped wire wreath form from Dollar Tree:

Paper Doily Easter Wreath
Grab an Easter egg wreath form and a pile of paper doilies to make a festive and unique Easter Wreath.
Materials
- 1 Easter egg wreath form
- stack of 6-inch wide white paper doilies
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- "hop" sign from Dollar Tree
- For the bow: assorted pastel ribbons and 1/2 a pipe cleaner (optional)
Instructions
- Watch the video below before you begin, and let that be your visual guide for this craft.
- Lay 1 doily flat. Fold it in half, offset so that the doily is folded more into 1/3 and 2/3 instead half-and-half.
- Then, fold the doily into thirds, making a cone shape.
- Apply hot glue to the tip of the paper doily cone. Slide the hot-glued tip under the outer wire wreath rung. Fold the paper tip over the wire, securing the doily to the wreath.
- Repeat along the outer rim of the wreath. 0verlap the doilies, so that none of the wire wreath form shows through.
- Move on to the 2nd and 3rd wire rungs. Continue adding doilies, although they no longer need to be overlapped.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 on the innermost wire rung on the wreath.
- Apply hot glue to the short edges on the back of the "Hop" sign. Then center the sign over the wreath, and set it in place.
- OPTIONAL: Layer scraps of ribbon and bunch at the center to form a scrappy bow. Hot glue in place at the neck of the bunny on the "Hop" sign.
