Why I love this craft
Anytime I can take a Dollar Tree material and turn it into something both beautiful and functional, it’s a win-win! I love this craft because it’s so easy to make and it’s the perfect touch to holiday decor, no matter your style.
Where is the best place to buy unfinished wood beads and rings?
In addition to mini plastic wine glasses, you’ll also need some unfinished wood rings and beads. There are a number of places you can purchase these materials. Some Dollar Stores will carry these items in their craft section, and if you can’t find them there, you can try other craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. Amazon is also another great option, especially if you plan to make numerous crafts and want to buy larger quantities.

The inspiration for this craft:
I’ve made bells similar to these last year when I attempted a Modern Pottery Barn Christmas Dupe. I used regular sized plastic wine glasses for this particular craft and they turned out wonderful.

When I saw mini plastic stemless wine glasses at Dollar Tree, I knew exactly what I had to do!

Mini Wine Glass Bells
All you need are just a few Dollar Store supplies to make these beautiful (and easy) Mini Wine Glass Bells.
Materials
- mini wine glasses (packs of 6 from Dollar Tree)
- Rustoleum black primer spray
- Rustoleum gold metallic spray
- wood beads
- mini wood rings
- twine
- E6000 glue
Tools
- Miter shears
- hot glue gun
Instructions
- Watch the video. Follow the tutorial video for a step-by-step walkthrough on how to make your own mini wine glass bells.
- Cut the wooden rings. Use miter shears (or heavy duty scissors) to cut the wooden rings in half.
- Attach the cut rings. Use a drop of E6000 glue on each end of the cut ring and attach it to the top of each mini wine glass.
- Spray paint the wine glasses. Start with spraying a coat of the black primer. Once dried, spray an even coat of the gold metallic spray paint.
- Make the "bells". Cut a piece of twine and make a double (or triple knot). Use a weeding tool and a dab of hot glue to attach the knot into the inside of the wine glass.
- Attach the bells. Add a wood bead and tie a knot at the length you want the "bell" to hang. (Watch the video to see how I did this.)
- Make the hanger. Cut a long piece of twine and a short piece. Run the long piece through and secure it with hot glue. Use the smaller piece of cut twine to wrap around the secured longer piece. (Watch the video to see how I did this.)
- Hang the bells. You can hang the bells individually or in sets of 2 or 3 - whatever you prefer.
