New Embroidery Hoop Crafts – 3 Different Ways
Who else is loving the embroidery hoop craft trend? You can make so many fun craft and decor projects with them.
In fact, I made a few mini embroidery hoop wreaths a few winters back. How fun!
For this blog post, I decided to whip up a couple of embroidery hoops in different styles for spring.
These little hoops would make a fun addition to a spring gallery wall. Or make one with a large embroidery hoop to serve as a unique spring wreath.

Spring Embroidery Hoop Craft #1 – Moss and Flowers
Moss Embroidery Hoop
Embrace the florals and greenery of spring with this faux moss and lavender embroidery hoop.
Materials
- embroidery hoop
- felt
- marker
- craft scissors
- sheet of craft moss
- faux lavender - or other flowers
- twine
- hot glue gun and hot glue
Instructions
- Lay the inner hoop on top of the felt. Trace a circle about a half-inch outside the hoop. Cut down to size.
- Smooth the felt over the inner hoop. Add the outer hoop, and smooth the felt flat as you tighten the outer hoop. Trim away any excess felt from the back of the embroidery hoop.
- Lay the embroidery hoop face-down onto the back of the craft moss. Trace the hoop with a marker.
Cut down to size, so the moss lies just inside the hoop.
- Remove the paper backing from the moss to expose the adhesive backing. Add a bit of extra hot glue around the edges. Smooth the moss onto the felt.
- Cut the tops off a bunch of faux lavender. Tie them together with twine wrapped around the stems' base.
- Secure the flower bunch in place onto the moss with hot glue.

Instructions
- Paint the outer hoop with green paint and let dry.
- Lay the embroidery hoop face-down onto the back of the craft cork sheet. Trace the hoop with a marker. Cut down to size, so the cork lies just inside the hoop.
- Remove the paper backing from the cork to expose the adhesive backing. Add a bit of extra hot glue around the edges. Smooth the cork onto the felt.
- Add your black vinyl embellishment to the cork surface.
- To make the bow: Cut 3 lengths of ribbon and a small bundle of raffia.
Then cut a slightly longer piece of ribbon to secure the 3 ribbons and raffia together in the middle with a simple knot.
