Why I love this craft
This craft project was not only easy, it yields such a beautiful piece of table decor that is versatile to any decorating style. In the video, you’ll see and learn why I chose to keep my tiered tray as two separate pieces versus gluing the top to the bottom for permanent hold.
Why Use Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge?
If you’re crafting something that might get wet (or even need a gentle wash) Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge is a game-changer. Unlike regular formulas, this one cures to a durable, water-resistant finish, making it perfect for kitchen crafts or items that will be handled often.
For example, it was the ideal choice to seal my bobbin tiered tray because not only does it protect the decorative surface, but it also gives peace of mind when the tray needs a wipe down or a light rinse. Just be sure to let it cure fully (28 days!) before getting it wet for the best results.

The inspiration for this craft:
This craft is very similar to another (albeit smaller) bobbin edge riser tray that I made from a dollar store bamboo cutting board.
