Why I love this craft

I love this particular craft primarily because of the bamboo cutting board and also because it can be used to make something practical like this clipboard idea. It can be used as decor or actually used as a clipboard. Put a magnet on the back and put it on your fridge to be used as a grocery list! The possibilities are many with this craft project.

What’s the best way to stain bamboo cutting boards?

The material of the Dollar Tree bamboo cutting boards doesn’t allow for the stain to soak in well. So, I always suggest that when you’re staining it, be sure there are no drips off the side and definitely make sure your strokes are all going in the same direction.

For drying, I recommend placing it on a piece of parchment paper so it doesn’t stick to the surface and mess up the stain.

The inspiration for this craft:

I’ve done so many things with bamboo cutting boards and it’s hard to pick just one inspiration for this craft. I made a Dollar Store Cutting Board Craft: Grain Sack Mini Tray that was used to hold a few items on my table.
