I’ve made several craft projects with tumbling block game pieces, and these Jenga snowman ornaments are no different. Get creative and customize these little snowmen ornaments any way you like!
You’ll likely have the supplies on hand for these snowmen ornaments, so all you’ll need to buy is the tumbling block game.
Use these Jenga snowman ornaments to spruce up your tree this holiday season.
There are so many ways to decorate a Christmas tree, and hands-down my favorite is with handmade ornaments.
Why I love this project
Did I mention how much I love being able to use supplies that I already have in my craft room? Don’t get me wrong, I’m always keeping an eye out any time I go to the Dollar Store (especially the Dollar Tree), but there’s an inner “yes!” that happens when I don’t have to purchase much.
I also love these Jenga snowman ornaments because they mesh perfectly with other styles. Whether you’re going for a snowman theme, farmhouse theme, or something in between – these will match quite nicely! Feel free to change up the color and materials to suit your style.
This project is also something you can get the kids involved in. Give them a special job of applying the buttons or drawing the snowman faces. Challenge them to draw several different types of faces as well!

TUTORIAL: HOW TO MAKE JENGA SNOWMAN ORNAMENTS
Follow these quick step-by-step directions below.
- Paint the Jenga blocks with the white acrylic paint.
- While the pieces are drying, cut strips of burlap about 3″ long (or enough to wrap around and glue on the back of the Jenga piece).
- Once the block pieces have dried, hot glue a burlap piece to the Jenga piece.
- Cut a piece of twine long enough to tie a knot around the top of the hot glued burlap piece.
- Hot glue a red button where the twine was knotted.
- Tie a red ribbon around the middle of Jenga piece.
- Hot glue two brown buttons vertically for the “shirt.”
- Draw a face on the Jenga piece to complete your snowman.
To get these to dangle from your tree, simply add a silver hook to the back of where the twine was tied. You can also get creative and make (and hot glue) twine loops.
