Why I love this craft
I like crafting with paint stir stick in general because there is so much you can do with them. For this particular craft, I only had to cut them and attach them to the vase with heavy-duty double-sided tape, which makes this a quick and easy craft project for any and everyone.
What is the best way to cut paint stir sticks?
Some crafter will grab their power saw to easily and quickly cut the sticks; however, I am an advocate for using a pair of miter shears or heavy duty craft scissors. I have found these to work well.

The inspiration for this craft:
A couple of years ago, I made this Paint Stir Stick Sign and loved how it turned out. Not to mention, there were no power tools needed because I used miter shears to cut them. The benefit of using paint stir sticks is you have a small wood piece that can quickly become something large and beautiful – like the sign I made!

Instructions

- Cut sticks. Use a pair of miter shears or heavy duty craft scissors to cut paint stir sticks down to size. (I used 7 1/2)
- Add tape. Add several pieces of double sided tape to the base and middle of the small jar.
- Add paint sticks. Attach the sticks to the vase, ensuring the first one is placed at a complete 90 degree way. Continue until the jar is covered.
- Repeat for larger jar. Repeat steps 2-4 for the larger jar. (I used 19 paint sticks for the large jar)
- Embellish. Add a tied ribbon to the large jar.
- Optional step. Turn the small jar into a candle by adding 2 bags of filler sand and small tealight candles. Add grocery store tulips to the larger jar.
