DIY Paint Stir Stick Sign
Easy DIY paint stir stick sign – follow this tutorial to make a cute wooden slatted wall sign to customize any way you like.
Materials
- 13 wooden paint sticks
- wood glue
- wall decal, or paint to decorate the sign

Instructions
- Watch the video tutorial before you begin, and let that be your visual guide for this project.
- Cut the handles off 11 paint sticks. Lay the cut paint sticks horizontally, with even spaces between. Be sure that the printed side of the paint sticks are face up.
- Lay two full paint sticks vertically on top of the horizontal paint sticks, to ensure your spacing is correct. Your sign should be just a bit taller than one paint stick.
- Apply a row of wood glue dots along one side of the horizontal paint sticks. Lay one paint stick on top. Repeat on the other side. Set aside until the wood glue dries.
- Decorate the front of your sign however you like. You can stain or paint it, but I decided to add a wall decal from the dollar store.
Notes
How to hang your wall sign: You can attach regular hanging hardware, command velcro sticks, or even hot glue a length of twine to the back of your sign.
With a little creativity and a bunch of paint stir sticks, you’ve managed to craft a stunning wooden slatted wall sign without using any power tools.
