It seems like every egg decoration craft under the sun has been done… and done again.  I love making decoupage eggs, because the options for patterns and colors are endless.

For this craft, I actually used scrapbook paper that only looks like sheet music.  But if you have an old hymnal, scrapbook paper, or other pretty paper of any sort, that would work as well.

Sheet Music Easter Eggs

Yield: 3 eggs

Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Materials

  • plastic eggs
  • Mod Podge
  • music note scrapbook paper or sheet music

Tools

  • scissors
  • paint brush

Instructions

    1. Gather your supplies. supplies to make sheet music Easter eggs
    2. Cut your music paper into small triangles and strips. cut sheet music paper into small triangles and strips
    3. Apply a thin layer layer of Mod Podge to a portion of the egg.  Then apply a small triangle of paper to your egg.  Cover the triangle with another thin layer of Mod Podge. add small pieces of paper to egg surface with Mod Podge
    4. Using layers of Mod Podge, add strips and triangles of paper to the egg.  Repeat until the entire egg is covered. Fair warning: your fingers will probably get a little messy when you make this craft. Continue to layer pieces of paper with Mod Podge
    5. Set the egg on a protected surface.  Then allow the egg to dry completely. Set Easter egg aside until Mod Podge has dried
