Painted Easter Treat Bags

Easter season is fast approaching, and it’s time to start talking about spring crafts!  This Easter, take some time to focus on “mini moments” that can be shared with friends and family, without too much fuss or hassle.  These mini moments can be basket building or Easter egg hunts, but today I want to share with you a craft.  Follow this easy tutorial to make fun Easter treat bags – perfect for spring crafting!

Here’s what you will need to make these Painted Easter Treat Bags:

  • MARS® Mixed Mini Spring themed Bag
  • fabric treat bags
  • acrylic craft paint in assorted spring colors
  • pouncer or other foam brush
  • scrap cardstock or cardboard – trimmed to size of your treat bags
  • rubber stamps with spring or Easter images

Tutorial: Painted Easter Treat Bags

Step 1:

Setup.  Select your paint colors.  Cut a piece of cardstock down to the size of your treat bags.  Insert the cardstock into the treat bag.  It will protect the second layer of fabric while you paint.

Step 2:

Apply paint to rubber stamp.  Be generous with the paint, but not so generous that paint is dripping.

Step 3:

Stamp and paint.  Press the paint-covered stamp firmly onto the front of the treat bag.  Embellish with additional paint along the edges if desired.

Step 4:

Be sure to clean the stamp well with a rag and warm water immediately.  You don’t want the acrylic paint to dry on the stamp!

      Kelly – they are AMAZING!!! 3 Musketeers are usually towards the bottom of my list of favorite candies, but these are my new fav!
