Instructions

- Spray paint the cups. Put the cups on a paint-safe surface and spray a coat over them. Allow them to dry completely.

- Make braids. Take small sections of hula skirt material and makes braids. Tape the top ends to your work surface to keep the strands in place while you braid.

- Prep the cups. Use a pen blade to cut a hole in the bottom of the cups. You'll want a hole flexible enough to fit in a string light.

- Embellish the cups. Once you string the light through, begin adding the braided hula material. Start at the top, secure the end of the braid with hot glue and start turning/rotating and attaching it all around the cup until covered. Repeat for all lights on the string.
