Materials
- old glass jar
- hula skirt (Dollar Tree)
- hot glue
- cardboard die cuts (find them in the Dollar Tree craft aisle)
- home decor chalk paint (color: blush pink)
Tools
Instructions
- Watch the video. Follow along with the video tutorial for a step-by-step walkthrough of how to make your own magnetic board.
- Clean the jar. Remove the label and print date on the jar to start with a nice, clean surface.
- Attach hula skirt. Cut away a few pieces of the hula skirt (about 5-7 pieces). Bundle and attach the pieces to the jar using a generous amount of hot glue. Wrap around the jar, and secure the tail ends with more hot glue.

- Paint cardboard dye cut. Paint the cardboard dye cut in a color of your choice (I used blush pink). Let dry.

- Attach raffia to dye cut. Feed a piece of hula skirt through the dye cut. Tie it around the jar on top of the wrapped skirt.
- Embellish. Add a ribbon to the mouth of the jar. Cut ends with a kite tail cut, but folding the ribbon in half and cutting at a 45-degree angle.
