Learn how to hang a poster without damaging your walls – using painters tape and hot glue. This is such a genius damage-free wall decorating technique that is perfect for dorm rooms, apartments, and renters.

Hot to Hang a Poster (It’s SO easy!)

First make four corners with painters tape on your wall.  You want the measurements of the corners to be a bit smaller than your poster.

Use a level (especially along the top). This will help you when hanging your poster, and ensure that it is level the first time around.

Apply a small dot of hot glue to each corner of your poster OR apply the hot glue directly to the tape.

If you have a larger poster, you could also consider using tape along the edges as well, for better hold.

Center your poster on the painters tape. Hanging is a breeze if you leveled your tape.

Smooth the poster, stand back, and admire your work!
