Supplies you’ll need to make this craft:
- Silver metal serving tray from the dollar store
- Large flower decals, also from the dollar store
- Chalk paint in a color to compliment your decal
- Clear spray finish or Mod Podge to seal your project
**Can’t find flower decals at the dollar store? Don’t worry! You can easily use pretty scrapbook paper, a printed image of a flower, or large stickers from the craft store. If using paper, use Mod Podge to adhere your image to the tray, let dry, and then seal the decal with another coat of Mod Podge.

This craft is SO easy to make. Just paint a serving tray with chalk paint, add a flower decal, and seal with your favorite clear spray or Mod Podge.

Dollar Store Flower Decal Tray

Materials
- Silver metal serving tray from the dollar store
- Large flower decals, also from the dollar store**
- Chalk paint in a color to compliment your decal
- Clear spray finish or Mod Podge to seal your project
Tools
- 1-inch flat paint brush

Instructions
- Watch the video tutorial before you begin, and let that be your visual guide for this project.
- Prep the serving tray: Begin by cleaning the tray really well. Peel off the label on the back, and use Goo Gone to remove any adhesive residue if necessary. Wash the tray with soap or wipe down with rubbing alcohol.
- Paint the tray with light blue chalk paint. Let dry, and apply another coat. Let the second coat dry completely.
- Cut one flower decal down to size. Cut the corner to round it and match the tray corners. Peel the decal off the paper backing, and smooth it onto the tray.
- OPTIONAL: use a "dry brush" technique with some moss green chalk paint to distress the tray edges a bit. Let dry.
- Seal the tray with clear spray or a coat of Mod Podge. Let dry.
