I also like how they come in different sizes, which makes the possibilities of crafting with them even more fun and interesting.

TUTORIAL: HOW TO MAKE A CLAY POT JACK-O-LANTERN
Follow this quick step-by-step tutorial below:
- Basecoat the 2.5” clay pots with bright orange acrylic craft paint. While still wet, add vertical stripes with dark orange acrylic craft paint. Blend the colors with a paintbrush.
- Glue two wiggle eyes on the Jack-O-Lantern face using a glue gun and glue sticks. Give them cheeks by dabbing a new pencil eraser in pink craft paint and stamping on the right and left sides, just below the eyes.
- Draw a mouth from cheek to cheek with a permanent black marker. Using wire cutters, trim one-inch sections from a tree branch. Add some hot glue to the end and insert the twig into the drain hole of the clay pot.
- Wrap a green chenille stem around a pencil, and then slide it off. Cut the chenille stem in half and attach to the side of the pumpkin stem with a glue gun and glue sticks.
- Using natural jute twine, tie two small bows. Attach to the front bottom of the clay pot Jack-O-Lantern with a glue gun and glue sticks. Trim any long ends of the twine with scissors.
***NOTE: You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you would have to wait for it to dry.
Change things up by creating a variety of sizes of Clay Pot Jack-O-Lanterns. Let the kiddos customize the faces with markers and paint. Your family and friends will never know how quick and easy this fun Fall decor was to create!
