TUTORIAL: HOW TO MAKE A CANDY CORN CLAY POT CRAFT
Follow these quick step-by-step directions below:
- Paint the smaller clay pot with white acrylic craft paint. Paint the top 2/3 of the larger clay pot with orange acrylic craft paint, and the bottom 1/3 with yellow acrylic craft paint. Let the paint dry and then apply a second coat, if necessary.
- Attach the smaller white clay pot to the larger orange and yellow clay pot with hot glue. You can use a liquid craft glue for this project (like e6000), but you would have to wait for it to dry.
- Glue two wiggle eyes on the candy corn face. Give them cheeks by dabbing a new pencil eraser in pink craft paint and stamping on the right and left sides, just below the eyes.
- To cover up the drain hole in the clay pot, punch a circle from white cardstock. If you don’t have the correct size hole punch, trace a circle using the clay pot as a template and cut out with scissors. Attach the white cardstock to the clay pot with glue. Draw a mouth from cheek to cheek with a permanent black marker.
- Using black and white gingham ribbon, tie a small bow. Attach to the front bottom of the clay pot candy corn with hot glue. Trim any long ends of the ribbon with scissors.
