When we were little, my mom would take my sister and me on weekend trips – bed and breakfasts or camping. On one B&B weekend in Texas, we discovered this amazing cookie. I don’t know how many pink sweeties I ate that weekend, but it was well into the double digits. My mom got the recipe from the B&B owner, and we’ve been making these cookies ever since. I thought I would share them now, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Thank you so very much for this amazing easy cookie recipe. OMG, can’t stop eating.
I made these today and they are very tasty-especially if you’re a fan of almond flavor!
Almond favor is a huge weakness of mine. I will be making these!
Thanks for linking up to the oldies party this week–the new party will be live on Monday night.

Does the glaze harden? (:
These look great. How many does this recipe yield? Baking for a susan g komen event at my office and will need about 6 dozen.
Thank you for posting this recipe! I recently visited my niece in Sweeney Texas and had the awesome experience of tasting these cookies! Man Oh Man! I just went into another pant size! so delicious! She passed your site information to me and now I am sooo happy!
Yay! I’m so glad you like these cookies… they are my absolute favorite!
I would like to flavor these with strawberry. Would I leave out the almond extract?
These came out so deliciously well but the batter was VERY sticky, even after I chilled it over night because I ran out of time to continue baking…. Do you possibly know why it’s so sticky?
