Why I love this craft

crafting with dollar store foam pumpkins

This is not the first time I’ve made a craft using dollar store pumpkins. In fact, I’ve used them to make mop head yarn pumpkins and even a ribbon pumpkin.

The inspiration for this craft:

I love crafting with old books, and I recently picked up an old hardcover book with beautifully worn pages. I used on this recent DIY jute rope bowl, and had it lying around when I started my fall crafting. I don’t think it’s difficult to imagine my thought process that brought us to this point!

Set aside and dry.
  3. Cover the other pumpkin half. Repeat step 2 on the remainder of the pumpkin.
  4. Cover the pumpkin stem. When you reach the stem, rip a piece of paper to match the width of one stem side. Use Mod Podge, and smooth paper around the four pumpkin stem sides, and then over the stem top. Let dry.
  5. Embellish the pumpkin top. Embellish the pumpkin top with faux greenery and a twine bow using hot glue. hot glue faux greenery to pumpkin top
  6. To make the twine bow: Loop twine around three fingers 3-5 times, and pinch in the middle to create a figure-8. Tie another piece of twine around the middle of the figure-8 to make a bow.
