Why I love this craft.
For this particular craft, I wanted something that could easily be assembled and disassembled without having to put in too much effort. Using the large stacked egg decor allowed me to do just that.
I also love this craft because it’s super easy to make, versatile, and inexpensive. Besides the egg topiary and basket, I already had everything else needed in my craft stash. I hope you enjoy the finished product as much as I did!
What is the best way to create a topiary base?
You’ll notice in the video that I needed to create a base for my topiary that would help keep it more above the basket versus down in the basket. I put a cake stand inside of my basket to create a higher base. You could also use a mixing bowl or pot to create the extra height.

The inspiration for this craft:
Last year I made a Dollar Tree Easter Egg Topiary using jumbo Easter eggs and I loved how it turned out. This craft was made mostly permanent and I used more pastel colors versus the bright colors for the one I made this year.

Jumbo Stacked Easter Egg Topiary
The next time you're in Dollar Tree, grab a pack of stacked eggs and make this super cute (and easy) Jumbo Stacked Easter Egg Topiary.
Materials
- 24" stacked egg decor (Dollar Tree)
- jumbo Easter basket (or large pot)
- faux greenery and flowers
- ribbon
- hot glue
Tools
- scissors
Instructions
- Watch video. Follow along with the video tutorial for a step-by-step walkthrough on how to make your own jumbo stacked Easter egg topiary.
- Assemble topiary. Stack the three topiary egg pieces and place them inside of a large bucket or basket. I used a cake stand as a work-around to keep most of the topiary visible, but you can add an upside-down pot of small bowl to add additional height.
- Embellish with greenery. Remove faux greenery from the primary stem and stick them around the base of the egg topiary.
- Add flowers. Remove flowers from the main stem and tuck them around the faux greenery at the base of the topiary.
- Create a pinch bow. Cut several pieces of different colors and styles of ribbon. Pinch them together in the center and secure with another piece of ribbon. Cut and fluff the ribbon pieces according to your preference.
- Attach the bow. Hot glue the bow to the base of the middle (blue) egg. Add a few sprigs of faux greenery behind the the bow.
- Make and add additional embellishments. Using faux greenery, flowers, and a regular ribbon bow, create pieces that can be hot glued to base of the top egg on the topiary.
Notes
Tip: If you're going to place the topiary outdoors, hot glue the greenery to the inside of the basket/bowl.
