Who knew a dollar store hula skirt could make such a cute fall statement? This Hula Skirt Pumpkin Craft brings a fun twist to traditional pumpkin decor with tons of texture and tropical flair.
Materials
- foam pumpkin (Dollar Tree)
- hula skirt (Dollar Tree)
- hot glue
- twig from outside
- sprigs of faux greenery
Tools
- scissors
- hot glue gun
Instructions
- Watch the video. Follow along with the video tutorial for a step-by-step walkthrough of how to make your own magnetic board.
- Prep the pumpkin. Use a pair of scissors to pop of the stem and poke a hole in the top and the bottom.

- Cover the pumpkin with hula skirt pieces. Take small sections at a time and hot glue one end on the top, add a dab halfway down and then secure by attaching the remaining to the other end of the pumpkin. Repeat until the entire pumpkin is covered. (Heads up: this is a bit time consuming, but worth it.)

- Embellish. Complete the pumpkin with a stick from outside and a sprig or two of faux greenery.
