    3. Paint the Wooden Half Balls. Lay painter’s tape sticky-side up and secure the two ends down with more tape. Stick the half balls onto the tape to hold them steady. Paint them lavender. Lightly dry brush white over the top.
    4. Trim the Cutting Mat. Take your Dollar Tree cutting mat and trim it down so it’s slightly smaller than the cutting board. trim cutting mat piece and add cut vinyl letters
    5. Add Your Vinyl Design. I used a Cricut to cut a simple “Hello Spring” design in white peel-and-stick vinyl. Weed your design. Use transfer tape to lift it. Smooth it onto the center of your cutting mat.
    6. Add Foam Mounting Squares. The height of the mounting squares gives the craft a bit of dimension. Place one in each corner of the back of the cutting mat. Peel off the adhesive backing. Center the cutting mat over the painted cutting board. Press down firmly to secure. secure cutting mat sheet and glue on wood half balls
    7. Glue on the Wooden Half Balls. Add a small dab of E6000 glue to the back of each painted wooden half ball. Place one directly over each foam mounting square.
    8. Optional: Add a Hanger. If you’d like to hang it: drill small holes and add metal hooks and twine, or add a sawtooth hanger to the back.
