My 4-year-old twins LOVE to do craft projects!  We paint, color, and do play dough pretty much every single day.  This means that I need to keep our art supplies organized and handy!

How to Make Your Own Craft Caddy

I started with this Ikea SKOGSTA box with handle, but there are other great options on Amazon as well.  Just look here, here, or here.

Then, fill your caddy with glass jars and metal storage containers – whatever fits best in your caddy and works with your craft supplies.  I have one jar each for – paint brushes, markers, crayons, glue sticks, and safety scissors and craft punches.  We also keep small note pads and watercolor paints in the caddy as well.

This is the perfect little storage solution for all of those arts and crafts supplies.  The kids have easy access whenever they want, and I can easily move the caddy back and forth from the kitchen table to their small activity table depending on what we are doing that day.

In case you are wondering where everything else is stored (play dough, painting smocks, coloring books, etc.) there is a sideboard right next to our kitchen table.  See how I added extra storage with a little upcycling project for our craft supplies there!
