DIY Extra Long Curtain Rods, 2 Ways
1 – DIY Wooden Dowel Curtain Rods and Matching Brackets
I actually made these curtain panels and curtain rod for our last home, and I was SO sad to see them go! I bought a long wooden dowel and wooden brackets at Home Depot. Then I made a custom stain with wood stain and chalk paint.
The panels are actually drop cloths dyed blue! This whole thing really couldn’t be more budget-friendly.
2 – DIY Industrial Pipe Curtain Rods
In our new house, I decided to use plumbing hardware for our curtain rods. They are perfect with sheer white Ikea curtain panels. They give us privacy (since these windows face the front yard), but still let in plenty of light.
