Are you tired of late night editing sessions, trying to finish a blog post?  Do you want to grow your blog, but think you don’t have the time?  Are you ready to work smarter and not harder at this blogging thing?

I’m going to let you in on a little bit of personal information: I have a full-time job and two small children, and I’m still building my blog.  I juggle.  I juggle allot. I have had to become incredibly efficient with my time and selective with my efforts.  This means intentionally setting goals and focusing the majority of my attention on blogging tasks that will help me achieve these goals.  It also means being organized when completing these blogging tasks.

Where it all Begins

All of this juggling and organization is rooted in one source: my Editorial Calendar.  This is where it all begins.  This is the baseline for all of my other blogging activities.

Meet: My Editorial Calendar Binder

As I started to take blogging more seriously, I quickly learned that I had to be better about planning my blog posts.  No more late nights finishing a blog post, so that I could hit “publish” the next morning.  Enter: my Editorial Calendar Binder (aka: my Binder of Everything).  If it sounds really important, that’s because it is.  This binder contains my brainstorming, planning, timeline, and posting schedule for every single post that goes up on my blog. Every single one. I plan many of these posts months in advance.  In fact, at this very moment, I have plans written down for blog content one year from now.  Is the importance of this binder sinking in yet?

Planning my Editorial Calendar and my Blog Planner

Well, I soon discovered that maybe not every other blogger out there has a process like this.  The Editorial Calendar Toolkit for Bloggers was born.
