Grab a few dollar store pumpkin signs, and let’s get crafting. Transform these Dollar Tree door hangers into completely custom fall decor.
My favorite crafts and DIY decor to make with Dollar Tree pumpkin door hangers.
The Dollar Tree has these cute pumpkin door hangers and signs for fall. While many people would see ready-made decor waiting to be displayed, I see beautiful blank canvases just waiting to be transformed with a few craft supplies.
Watch these videos and check out these creative craft tutorials linked below to see how! Most of these projects involve just a few basic supplies (think chalk paint, ribbon, hot glue) – along with a whole lot of imagination.
These dollar store fall pumpkin crafts will blow you away!
UPDATE FOR 2022:
I got crafting and made FIVE new pumpkin sign crafts. Watch this video below to see all of the transformations:
Even MORE Crafts to make with Dollar Store Pumpkin Signs
1. Popsicle Stick Door Hanger
Cover a pumpkin door hanger in large crafting popsicle sticks to create a plank wood effect.
2. Thankful & Blessed Sign
For my neutral-decor-loving farmhouse decor folks, this craft is for you. Cover one of these “Thankful & Blessed” pumpkin signs with some chalky-finish paint to turn a classic orange pumpkin green.
Watch the transformation (it’s easier than you think) in the video below – or else you can read the pumpkin sign tutorial here.
3. Black and White Fall Sign
Create a layered look by using different patterns and textures on each of your three pumpkins. Learn how to put together this black and white fall sign in the video below.
4. Happy Fall Y’all
This craft definitely has a more rustic vibe, and I’m especially loving the black and white check bow on top of the pumpkin. Watch this video tutorial below to see the transformation.
5. Welcome Shiplap Painted Dollar Store Pumpkin Sign
This pumpkin sign looks perfect against that white subway tile backsplash. If you have a spare corner in your kitchen, it would be super fun to decorate for fall.
Watch the video below for the tutorial:
6. Teal Pumpkin painted Dollar Store Pumpkin Sign
This craft is similar to my green pumpkin door hanger above. It’s a bit more teal, and it makes use of those fun metal words that I’ve seen the past few years in the seasonal decor section.
This craft would be great to display if you’re handing out allergy-friendly treats at Halloween! Watch the tutorial below:
7. Farmhouse Pumpkin
If you’re feeling ambitious, go ahead and decorate four different pumpkins. If you decorate with scrapbook paper, the design and color palette combinations are pretty much endless on this pumpkin craft.
Watch the video tutorial for this 4-pumpkin dollar store craft below:
8. Harvest & Gather Pumpkin Signs
Ok, it’s a bit of a stretch to include this craft, since this YouTuber used smaller pumkin signs and not the larger door hangers. BUT – the process would be the same no matter what size pumpkins you choose.
Watch the tutorial below:
9. Jumbo Pumpkin Porch Topiary
I saved the best for last, and this is definitely my favorite craft of the bunch. If you have a porch that is at least somewhat protected from the elements, you have to make this craft.
P.S. In case you didn’t know, I’m a HUGE fan of pumpkin topiaries – as you can see in this pumpkin decor project.
See how to make this jumbo pumpkin porch topiary in the video below:
10. Jumbo Pumpkin Topiary 2.0
If you’re more of an indoor decorator, this cozy fireplace is absolutely gorgeous. The pumpkin topiary is quite similar to the one above, but in a totally different style.
Watch the video below for the tutorial (skip to timestamp 25:33 because this video is chock-full of dollar store crafting inspiration:
11. Faux Tin Pumpkin Craft
Grab a few Dollar Tree supplies and make this distressed faux tin pumpkin craft.
12. Mini Crate and Pumpkin Sign Craft
