I love shopping for seasonal decor at the dollar store. But, not all of their decor matches my personal taste. So… instead of missing out on a deal, I decided to transform this cute pumpkin sign with just a little bit of paint. It was so easy, and so much more my style!

Dollar Store Pumpkin Sign

Supplies needed to paint a pumpkin:

  • assorted paint brushes, a few wide ones and a fine point brush for the text
  • acrylic craft paint:
    • 3 shades of green
    • white
    • black
    • brown
    • navy (mixed with a little bit of black)
    • copper
  • any sort of sharp tool – to get the twine to re-thread through the holes in the pumpkin
  • hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
