Here are a few creative ways to jazz up your Christmas gift wrap using items from the dollar store.
The dollar store is a great place to stock up on gift wrap, gift bags, holiday cards, ribbon, and bows. You can save a bundle! I think this is a great option for wrapping all of your gifts.
But if you want to get a little bit more crafty, here are a few ways to jazz up your gifts just a little bit.

Crafty Dollar Store Gift Wrap Ideas
White Gift Boxes + Holiday Cards
Materials
- plain white gift box
- holiday card
- twine
- faux red berries
- scissors
- double-sided tape
Instructions
- Assemble your white gift box.
- Place a holiday card (no envelope) on top of the box. Secure with double-sided tape, if desired.
- Wrap the whole box in twine - both horizontally and vertically 3 times each. Secure in the center of the twine "x" with a knot or bow.
- Tuck a small sprig of berries into the twine and tie to secure.
I did this with two types of holiday cards. This is a fantastic option if you have gifts that you need to give in bulk to team members or neighbors. You can just do them all in one fell swoop. Easy-peasy.
Dollar Store Gift Card Box
Materials
- gift card box
- 1-inch ribbon
- gold flowers
- scissors
Instructions
- Assemble the gift card box.

- Cut to small ends of a gold silk flower.
- Place the flowers - facing in opposite directions - on the ribbon and secure with a knot.
- Cut the loose ribbon ends at a 45-degree angle.
I really like this navy-gold combo for holiday gifts. I honestly think blue is a really underrated color at Christmas time. BUT… you could do this with really any color ribbon/flower combination that you like.
Also – these little boxes can be used for more than just gift cards. If you are a maker and like to gift handmade jewelry, key chains, or other small items – this is a great way to wrap them.
