My 3 Favorite New Projects from 2016

#1 – Kitchen Backsplash

When I discovered this  removable, respositionable wallpaper, I knew I had discovered the absolute perfect rental-friendly solution for my kitchen backsplash.

Make a White Subway Tile Temporary Backsplash with removable wallpaper. Follow this tutorial for a smooth, perfect finish. This temporary backsplash is the perfect option for anyone looking for a rental-friendly decor option or a home owner not ready to commit to tile and grout.

I’ve been doing so many rental-friendly projects lately that I even put together a free decor eBook for other renters.

#2 – Upcycle Tray

Upcycle a wooden Melissa & Doug toy box into a decorative serving tray! What an awesome DIY craft idea that comes together in a snap with a little bit of stain and paint.

If you have young children, you are probably familiar with Melissa and Doug toys.  They often come in nice wooden boxes, which are perfect for upcycling – something that I have tried to do more of this year!

#3 – Marie Kondo Review

Who doesn’t want to get more organized, right?  This year I read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing and it really did change the way we treat clutter in our home.  Read my full review of the method and see how I have implemented it in our home.
