COLD MONTHS OFTEN COME WITH A SLIGHTLY GLOOMY FEEL, BUT THAT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THE CASE IN YOUR HOME.
Where I live, winter comes with all the cold weather you can imagine, shorter days (less daylight), and a bit of winter depression.
I love decorating the inside of my home, especially the mantel space, to create a little bit of brightness to combat what’s going on outside.
WHAT IS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE WAY TO GET MANTEL DECOR TO CREATE A WINTERY LOOK?
Believe it or not, it doesn’t have to cost an arm and leg to create a winter vibe in your home. You can easily design a winter look using recycled Christmas decorations from the Christmas season, items from thrift stores, sale items from Hobby Lobby and/or natural elements from the great outdoors.
That’s why craft projects like these Winter Paper Bag Lanterns didn’t cost much to make at all. Between already having most of the supplies on hand, all I needed were the paper lunch bags.
If you know you want to have a winter fireplace mantel, a great way to stay ahead is to pick up items throughout the year or when they are on sale after the holiday season. Keep reading to get some of the best ideas for creating the best winter mantel display!
