After a recent trip to the Spring Ideas House, I brought back images and ideas for my favorite Spring Decor Trends and DIY ideas to try this year.
I recently welcomed Spring with my absolute favorite Spring activity – the Bachman’s Spring Ideas House. The lovely people at Bachman’s decorate an entire home in South Minneapolis with their favorite decor trends. It’s full of decor and DIY inspiration, and many of the items are for sale in the Bachman’s store – which is a dangerous place for anyone who doesn’t have extreme self-control. Just saying.
Let’s get right to it. Here are my favorite pictures from my trip to the Ideas House.
Shades of Gray
No, I’m not talking about that dreadful movie. I am naturally drawn to neutrals in home decor, so you can imagine my delight with the popularity of this new neutral – just take a look at this serene bedroom.
Faux Tin Ceiling Panels
This is by far and away my new favorite DIY decor idea. I’m already scheming and dreaming of ways to try this out with a project for my home.
The headboard for this girl’s room is made from faux tin ceiling panels (more pictures of this bedroom to come).
And friends, that’s not tin ceiling paneling behind those mirrors. It’s wallpaper!
Finally, tin panels make the perfect backdrop for these gorgeous botanical prints.
Garden Room & Botanical Prints
Don’t we all need a Garden Room? Like, really need. Or perhaps you can just steal some of the decor ideas from this great room.
Botanical prints are a decor trend that I’m fully supporting right now.
These plant cuttings displayed in simple glass vases prove that natural elements don’t need to be big to make a big impact.
This Bedroom Thou
What pre-teen girl wouldn’t love, love, love to call this bedroom home? I walked in the room and literally gasped. Gasped.
Mini fairy gardens are very trendy right now!
In case you’re wondering, that paint color is Hirshfield’s 470 Dreaming Of The Day. Let’s all just make a note of that right now.
This “LOVE” sign was made from scrap wood.
Now, let’s talk about this desk/work station. An old cabinet and table were transformed into a writing desk and message board.
There you have it! Who’s ready to get decorating for Spring?
INCREDIBLE photos Aimee, Wow!
