Come learn how to Remove Labels from Wine Bottles – the Easy Way! No need for soaking or special supplies. Discover the quickest and cleanest way to remove labels form glass bottles. This is a simple way to prep wine bottles to use in craft projects.
Heat a pot of water. You don’t want to bring it to a rolling boil, but you do want the water to be hotter than you could get from the tap.
Using a measuring cup with a pour spout, carefully fill the empty wine bottle with hot water. Either set the bottle on a flat surface, or hold the bottle with a towel or pot holder. Be very careful!
Let sit for a minute or two. The hot water will loosen the label’s adhesive.
Starting with an edge, slowly peel off the label at a 45-degree angle. If the label starts to rip, start over at a different corner.
Depending on the type of adhesive, the label may peel off completely clean. If some adhesive is left behind, remove it with a tiny bit of Goo Gone or scrub with a sponge and soapy water.
