Download and print this free template to make your own DIY baby party hats out of cardstock or scrapbook paper – perfect for birthdays or New Year’s Eve.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone rang in the new year safely and happily. I followed an early dinner with an early bedtime, with a small interruption by a midnight fireworks show near our home. Luckily, I’m the only one who was woken up by the festivities.
Yesterday morning before work I whipped up a couple of party hats for the twins, and cuteness ensued.
I started with glitter scrapbooking card stock, after-Christmas clearance tinsel garland, and a hot glue gun. To make the hats, I started with a sheet of plain paper to “eyeball” the shape of the hat – but I’ve made a template for you all. Click to download the printable pdf – Baby Party Hat Template.
I cut out the template on glitter cardstock, and hot glued the “overlap” area. Add a simple elastic chin strap and tinsel garland, and you have an easy 30-minute craft!
With the help of my photography assistant (aka – my mom), I snapped away.
R just wanted to play with the tinsel…
…and B refused to let go of her stuffed pig.
love the pictures, Aimee, along with the idea!
Thanks Mary Ellen! It’s always so much fun doing these mini “photo shoots.”
This is SO ADORABLE, can’t wait to see what you come up with for February/Valentines:)
Glad you’re so excited for Valentine’s pictures… Since you have officially been designated as my photography assistant/toddler wrangler!
