Let’s start this summer out right with a quick and easy treat- S’mores Snack Mix!
Summers are busy. busy. busy. Kids activities and family vacations turn our normal year-round routines upside-down. I don’t know about you, but I don’t even want to think about cooking or baking up a sweet treat for my family in the summer. There’s also the issue of me refusing to use the oven unless I absolutely have to, but that’s another story altogether.
The point being, here, is that I’m always looking for quick, easy, and oven-free treats in the summer. S’mores are a summer sweet treat staple, but they’re not always practical. That’s why I whipped up this quick and easy s’mores snack mix. Now we can bring the fun and flavor with us. Anywhere. Anytime.
S’Mores Snack Mix is the perfect quick summer treat that comes together in a flash with only 5 ingredients. Take the flavor and fun of s’mores on the go with you – no campfire required! Just toss your ingredients (peanuts, marshmallows, cereal, pretzels, and chocolate-covered raisins) into a plastic container on the go. You can even separate your s’mores snack mix into smaller snack-sized portions. It’s up to you.
S’Mores Snack Mix: Healthy Opt-ins
Substitute the peanuts and chocolate-covered raisins for almonds and cranberries for a super-food treat. It’s just as delicious, I promise. I chose peanuts over almonds simply because peanuts are easier for my kids to eat. But from the looks of things, they much preferred the pretzel sticks and marshmallows anyway!
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup peanuts (salted)
- 1/2 cup pretzel sticks
- 1 cup Golden Grahams cereal
- 1/2 cup chocolate-covered raisins
- Combine ingredients in an air-tight container and enjoy!
