Hey there lovely readers! I hope you are all enjoying getting into the spirit of the Holiday Season. Crafty projects have taken to the back burner this past week, as the semester finishes up and final papers and presentations came due. One more semester, and then I’m done with school for good!!
I made these sweet Christmas Oreo Truffles for Thanksgiving dessert, and they were yummy like always. I never pass up the chance to make an Oreo truffle. Classic Oreo Truffles (crack balls!)… Birthday Cake Truffles… Peppermint Truffles… I’m a fan of such an easy dessert. It’s my go-to super simple dessert recipe.
I just followed the instructions for classic Oreo Truffles – found here. Then, I changed up the decorating by using white, red, black, and blue candy melts (a variety of colors of candy melts are available at your local craft store).
I melted the candy melts on low in the microwave, and then dipped the Oreo truffles in either red or white. Then I decorated with melted candy melts in a piping bottle. I opted for two patterns: snowflakes and Santa’s belt. Super simple!
I don’t claim to be a pastry chef or artist, but I’m pretty happy with how these little treats turned out!
How about you? Any favorite simple go-to treats for the holidays? I’d love to hear about them!
These look too cute!
These are so, so adorable!! And Oreos are practically their own food group in my home 🙂 dying to try these
