Make your own watercolor cards with quotes – perfect for making custom holiday or birthday cards, or just to send a note “because.”
I love simple watercolor crafts, especially when I use cool hues like blues and greens. There is something so relaxing about the stroke of a brush on watercolor paper. If you love watercolor crafts as much as I do, come hang out with me on Pinterest. I’ve curated a board with only my absolute favorite watercolor projects!

How to make Watercolor Cards with Quotes
First, cut your larger sheet of watercolor paper into 4 rectangles.
Then pick two complimentary paint colors. Paint a stripe of one color at one end of the card. Paint a strip of the other color at the other end of the card. Blend the colors until they meet in the middle.
Alternately, you could just do a swatch of a single color. The sky really is the limit for this craft.
Repeat this process with various color combinations.
Let the watercolor paint dry completely.
Then, take a black fine tip permanent marker, and write a favorite quote or greeting. Simple, shorter phrases work better on these smaller cards.
