I love thrift store shopping. I think it’s something about the thrill of the hunt and finding a great deal… because I LOVE a good deal!
So imaging my elation when I stumbled across this bad boy for $7…
Don’t ask me what kind of piece of furniture this is… I have no idea. But I do know that with some primer and paint, it became a fun play washer and dryer for the kiddos.

I added on coat of kilz primer followed by a coat of white paint:
Then I added circles with slate gray and winter blue paint for the washer and dryer:
And that’s it! Now we can play cook and laundry! This thrift store makeover looks pretty good next to our Ikea kitchen, don’t you think?
