Easter season is fast approaching, and it’s time to start talking about spring crafts! This Easter, take some time to focus on “mini moments” that can be shared with friends and family, without too much fuss or hassle. These mini moments can be basket building or Easter egg hunts, but today I want to share with you a craft. Follow this easy tutorial to make fun Easter treat bags – perfect for spring crafting!
I swung by my local Sam’s Club to stock up early on my spring essentials. I bought the MARS® Mixed Mini Spring themed Bag for this project.
Here’s everything else that you’ll need to make this Easter craft.
Here’s what you will need to make these Painted Easter Treat Bags:
- fabric treat bags
- acrylic craft paint in assorted spring colors
- pouncer or other foam brush
- scrap cardstock or cardboard – trimmed to size of your treat bags
- rubber stamps with spring or Easter images
Tutorial: Painted Easter Treat Bags
Setup. Select your paint colors. Cut a piece of cardstock down to the size of your treat bags. Insert the cardstock into the treat bag. It will protect the second layer of fabric while you paint.
Apply paint to rubber stamp. Be generous with the paint, but not so generous that paint is dripping.
Stamp and paint. Press the paint-covered stamp firmly onto the front of the treat bag. Embellish with additional paint along the edges if desired.
Be sure to clean the stamp well with a rag and warm water immediately. You don’t want the acrylic paint to dry on the stamp!
These little treat bags are a fun craft activity that the whole family can enjoy! Use them as a party favor or in your Easter place setting – Enjoy!
I hope you love these little treat bags! You can get even more Easter memory making inspiration here!
