setting the parenting bar low

I read people.com on a daily basis.  Please don’t judge me.  I feel like it’s a step up from TMZ, making it an almost legitimate news source.  It’s also less depressing than any “real” news sites.  The only time they touch a depressing subject is when Kate Middleton wears something fabulous to a fundraiser for a cause related to a depressing subject… or when someone looks fabulous after having surgery for a depressing illness.  Ok, you get the point.

Lately, I have been having serious doubts about my parenting abilities – mainly my ability to handle two babies, in public, without looks of horror being shot across the Target parking lot.  I mean, how do you get both babies in and out of the car without one being unattended for even the shortest amount of time?  This seems like a logistical nightmare that always ends with one baby secure in her car seat while the other rolls away, giggling and unaware of how inept his mother truly is.

Is the pregnant lady rambling again?  Nope. These things are actually somehow related.  Today, as I opened my web browser and proceeded to check my daily sites, people.com gave me a much needed parenting confidence boost.

Why yes!  That is Snooki, star of the hit reality show “Jersey Shore,” pregnant and pushing a stroller full of beer and party supplies.  I am going to assume the beer is for her castmates (goodness knows that small box will barely get them past lunch) and just appreciate the comedic value of this picture.

Suddenly my Target parking lot nightmare doesn’t seem quite so bad.
